La Viola are keen on replacing Adrian Mutu with the Scottish league’s top goal-scorer.
Fiorentina have met Rangers’ terms and are close to securing Kenny Miller ‘s signature, according to Sport Italia.
The Serie A side are on the lookout for a new striker now that Adrian Mutu fell out with the club, and see Miller as the man to keep the engine purring.
With Miller’s contract set to expire at the end of the current campaign, Rangers have little choice but to cash in on their prolific front-man.
The 31-year-old Scottish international has been on fire this term, scoring 21 league goals for the Glasgow outfit so far. (IMScouting)
And of course if/when Kenny Miller makes the move from Glasgow to Florence he will team up with former Celtic keeper Artur Boruc who did likewise in the summer. The Rangers striker is weighing up his options and may feel that this is his last chance of a new challenge and a move to Italy appears to be tempting the 31 year old.
He has already apparently turned down a potential move to Birmingham and one can see why Fiorentina may want to bring in a player who a) is bang in form and b) won’t cost too much money. For the record the Scottish international has netted an incredible 21 goals in 16 SPL starts.
La Viola boss Siniša Mihajlovi? is desperate for some extra firepower to help lift them clear of the relegation zone and may feel that Miller has the hunger and ability to make it in Serie A.
