The former Chelsea and Newcastle United man may be 30 years old but he is arguably in the form of his life and his age appears to not be an issue for a Liverpool side who have been linked with the Lambeth born man for quite some time.
The pair would set Liverpool back around £25m and would go some way to helping the Merseyside club improving their somewhat average squad.
