Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has been seeking a loan deal for Chelsea defender Jeffrey Bruma. Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed he is keen for his younger players to go out on loan to other Premier League clubs, if it means more game time and an opportunity to play and improve.
And Newcastle are a potential taker. Newcastle have a substantial injury list at the moment and their boss views Bruma as great option to fill in for injured defenders Sol Campbell and Steven Taylor. Alan Pardew would hope that the Dutch defender, 19, would link up immediately with Newcastle and stay in the north until the end of the season. The deal would also be of an ideal price for Pardew, with Chelsea willing to subside some of Bruma’s wages, whos current deal at Chelsea lasts until 2014.
Gael Kakuta is in a similar situation with Fulham, although a deal is closer for the French Under-20 international.
