Blackpool have rejected a transfer request from their captain Charlie Adam, as the Scotsman looks to exit Bloomfield Road and join compatriot Kenny Dalglish at Anfield.
The request was made by the 25 year old earlier today, but Blackpool wasted no time in swiftly rejecting the request. Blackpool boss Ian Holloway will not accept a bid for Adam, until the valuation he holds for Adam is accepted.
Holloway said: ‘You have to come up with the right amount of money. I don’t want to stand in his way, but they have to put up or shut up. Charlie loves this club and just because he puts a transfer request in doesn’t change that.’
Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has admitted that he has been in contact with Liverpool and their managing director Damian Comolli, who has expressed a clear interest in signing the ex-Rangers midfielder.
Holloway also added that if Adam is to leave, the offer has to be above £4 million. He said: ‘You either make an offer that is acceptable or you go away. I don’t like having to talk about one of my players who’s under contract.
