Udinese bigwig Fabrizio Larini claims Chelsea and Manchester United are eyeing Chile winger Alexis Sanchez, 22.
Sporting director Larini said: “Sanchez is a versatile player, with much room for improvement.
“Chelsea and United? They are two clubs that have followed him and want him but there are also others.”

Should Udinese sell Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, it would directly contradict the recent words of head coach Francesco Guidolin.
“I know Udinese is a serious club,” said Guidolin. “The club have reiterated that Sanchez will remain at Udinese until the end of the season and I have no doubts on this matter.”
Nevertheless, should a big enough offer come in, perhaps he will have a change of heart, and certainly his sporting director seems keen to generate the highest possible sale for the club’s star player.
Few realised that Chelsea still had the spending power to splash out on a big name signing such as Sanchez, but the recent declined £52m double bid for Atletico Madrid stars Sergio Aguero and Diego Godin proved that to be far from true.
Whether Manchester United’s owners the Glazers can match them is far from clear.
