Luis Suarez has moved a step closer to joining Liverpool after passing a medical and agreeing personal terms.
Liverpool announced on Friday they had agreed a £22.8million (€26.5m) deal with Ajaxfor the Uruguyan.
Suarez arrived on Merseyside over the weekend and he has now quickly agreed personal terms to join Liverpool.
Liverpool have been chasing the highly-rated forward for most of January and it seems he will seal the switch to Anfield on Monday.
Ajax were reluctant to lose their star striker, but they have decided to cash-in on the player after he made it clear he would like to make the move to England.
Suarez is expected to make his Reds debut on Wednesday against Stoke if he ties up the move on Monday.

Clearly news of Luis Suarez’s move to Liverpool being completed will be coupled uncomfortably with the Fernando Torres situation that appears to be causing a fair amount of consternation among Anfield supporters.
Uruguayan international Suarez had probably hoped to be part of a strike force alongside Torres but news of a possible departure of the Spanish international does not appear to have dampened the 23 year old’s intentions to join the Merseyside club and now that personal terms have been agreed and a medical passed a likely debut on Wednesday is on the cards.
Liverpool supporters will hope that the Ajax man can make the jump from scoring a bucket-load of Eredivisie goals to converting that potential in the English top tier, a transition some have made more easily than others. Clearly the likes of Ronaldo and Ruud Van Nistlerooy have made the jump from Dutch football to the top European leagues however then we have opposite cases in the form of Afonso Alves and Mateja Kezman.
