Skysports.com understands Blackpool have made a move for Southampton’s Jason Puncheon.
Seasiders boss Ian Holloway has been frantically rushing around trying to bring bodies on board on deadline day, with Andy Reid and James Beattie already secured.
Among the other fresh faces he is hoping to snap up is highly-rated winger Puncheon.
The 24-year-old recently spent a spell out on loan at Millwall and could be on the move again before the January transfer window slams shut.
It is understood that Puncheon is the subject of a late bid from Blackpool and is waiting to hear whether he will be joining the Premier League ranks.

Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston that – as it stands – Charlie Adam will not be leaving the club, despite the attentions of Liverpool and, previously, Aston Villa. I can imagine the Scottish midfielder – who is known to have fancied the move – will be more than a little miffed.

It’s the kind of news that will greatly please Ian Holloway and all Tangerine supporters but will come as something of a surprise to Liverpool and Aston Villa as well as Manchester United apparently, who all wanted to sign the Scottish international who has been in fine form at the Bloomfield Road side this season.
Jason Puncheon is a very good acquisition and the 24 year old winger will be keen to prove he can make in the English top tier after doing well on loan at Championship side Millwall this season and was part of the Southampton side that knocked out Blackpool in the FA Cup third round earlier this month.
