Liverpool are reportedly considering making a last ditch bid for Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez, a player who has been consistently linked with interest from Old Trafford. Manchester United are said to have made enquiries into signing the talented young Chilean international but now a move may be forthcoming from an Anfield side who appear to have failed in their moves to sign Aston Villa wide man Ashley Young.
22 year old Sanchez has been a bit hit in Italy and now in his third season in Serie A there are a number of said to be interested in snapping up the pacy flair player who may well have outgrown his over achieving Udinese side who have apparently put a £25m price tag on their prized possession.
Liverpool’s Director of Football Damien Comolli is said to be a big fan of the former Colo Colo man and is pushing for a move to bring the attacker to Merseyside. Any bid from the Premier League club is sure to spark a bidding war and as well as interest from England the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid are also said to be keeping an eye on Sanchez.
A move during the current transfer window may prove unlikely given the fact we are hours away from the window being slammed shut but Liverpool are nonetheless keen on adding more natural width to their side and may well have more than enough in the way of finances if they do as expected sell want-away striker Fernando Torres.
