Arsenal are reportedly monitoring Liverpool target Santi Cazorla.
According to imscouting.com, the north London club are keen on the €20 million-rated Villarreal attacker, which would suggest a summer move is a possibility.
AS initially reported that Liverpool were considering a move for the 26-year-old in January but, although it did not come to fruition, the Anfield club are understood to remain keen on the Spaniard.
Cazorla has previously been linked with moves to Real Madrid and Barcelona but is said to have his sights set on a switch to the Barclays Premier League – seemingly opening the door for Arsenal or Liverpool.

Do Arsenal need another creative midfielder? Last time I checked they had a mountain of them, that said Santi Cazorla is a talented winger who after seven seasons at Villarreal appears ready to quit the Yellow Submarines. The Spanish international has good pace and can also beat his man and knows how to whip in a good cross but now may be the wrong time to leave his current club.
Plucky Villarreal have battled above their station for some time and are currently riding high in third spot in La Liga, which translates as the best of the rest after the two big boys of Spanish football, Barcelona and Real Madrid, and it really does show how far the club have come in such a short space of time. Remember Villarreal only made their top tier bow in 1998!
Anyway looking at the the list of players Arsenal have in their armoury it is hard to see why they would opt for a move for Cazorla. The Gunners have the likes of Samir Nasri, Theo Walcott, Andrei Arshavin, Tomas Rosicky to name just four players who can play out wide with distinction. Then of course there are those up and coming youngsters yet to have been given a chance, such as Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Ryo Miyaichi.
Liverpool are also said to be interested and their need may be stronger than the North London club’s.
