CESC FABREGAS last night gave Arsenal fans a glimmer of hope that he might stay.
The Gunners will have to fight off Spaniards Barcelona and Real Madrid in the summer if they are to persuade their influential skipper to carry on.
But Fab, 23, has not ruled out staying at the Emirates.
Fabregas said: “I’m showing I’m committed to this club and we want to do great things.
“I want to continue working to improve and help us win trophies. We are still fighting in all four competitions.
“We want to win everything and go the farthest possible in all competitions.
“My future is the last thing on my mind.”

As soon as Barcelona and Arsenal were put together in the UEFA Champions League last 16, question marks over Cesc Fabregas’ future were always likely to be raised by the media.
It was an immediate excuse for the Catalan press to ask every Barcelona player how well Fabregas would fit into their team.
Naturally, they responded that he would be extremely welcome and a fine asset – but do Barcelona even need him?
In the last 12 months they have signed Javier Mascherano and Ibrahim Affelay – both capable in central midfield, or in Affelay’s case in a more advanced role t0o.
Of course, they have different styles, but Barcelona certainly have enough options available to them already.
Signing Cesc Fabregas is more an obsession than anything for Pep Guardiola, which is a worry for Arsene Wenger.
Will Barcelona stop at nothing to get their man?
