Alan Pardew is hoping that this summer Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley dishes out some of the cash the club received for the sale of Andy Carroll to Liverpool and if he does the Magpies boss appears to be looking to add more flair to his St James’ Park side.
Diego Perotti is a talented player who is a regular at Sevilla who are currently lying in eighth place and the Argentine may be interested in joining his international team-mates Jonas Gutierrez and Fabricio Coloccini after seeing his side fail to sustain a top four challenge, a position the club managed to achieve last term.
Pardew will have concerns that the likes of Joey Barton, Jose Enrique and Gutierrez will look to leave the club if ambition is now shown in the form of a decent level of spending this summer. Perotti is an intelligent footballer who can make things happen and would be a very useful addition to the Newcastle United ranks.
