Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed Aaron Ramsey will return to North London following his loan move to Cardiff City.

Bluebirds’ boss Dave Jones had wanted to extend the move until the end of the season to help his side push for promotion.

But the Gunners boss will need every player as he faces fixture congestion in his bid for an unprecedented quadruple.

Ramsey is coming back to full fitness following a double fracture in his right leg after a challenge from Stoke City’s defender Ryan Shawcross a year ago.

He has gone on-loan to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff to regain his match fitness and scored his first goal in last nights 2-0 defeat over Leicester City.

But Wenger insists the 20-year-old will return to the Emirates after Cardiff’s trip to Hull City on Saturday and could feature for Arsenal in their FA Cup replay.

“He is on loan until Saturday,” Wenger told the club’s website. “After that he comes back.

“He could be available for the second game against Leyton Orient on Wednesday.

“I have had good reports from Cardiff and I intend to use him. He could not play last Saturday because he had a little hip problem and we demanded that he rest.

“I think he will play this Saturday again and then we will see if he comes through that game well. After that he is available for Arsenal.”
