Bayern Munich are lining up a summer transfer deal to take Aston Villa forward Ashley Young to Germany.
The Bundesliga champions sent chief scout Wolfgang Dremmler to the Reebok Stadium to watch Young in action in the 3-2 defeat to Bolton Wanderers.
Despite the England international missing a crucial penalty, Dremmler was impressed and has told his bosses to sign Young at the end of the season.
Manchester United and Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Young while Villa are desperate to tie him to a new long-term contract.
But Young has said he will not discuss any new deals until the summer meaning Villa may sell him at a bargain £15million as the 25-year-old’s contract expires in 2012.
