Blackburn Rovers owners have given manager Steve Kean their full backing despite the club’s slide towards relegation.
Reports emerged after the 3-2 defeat to Fulham claiming Kean would be sacked as Blackburn lie two points off relegation.
Kean controversially took the reigns at the club following the sacking of Sam Allardyce in January.
The Fulham defeat means the club have lost five out of their last six games, heaping more pressure on Kean
But Rovers co-owner Venkatesh Rao insists there is no truth in the rumours and have given Kean their full support.
“The truth is absolutely nothing like that, absolutely,” Rao told Sky Sports.
“He is very much there, he has just signed a contract and we like him a lot, he is very enthusiastic and he is very positive.”
Rao remains confident of Premier League survival but admits being worried by Blackburn’s poor run of form.
“Yes, we are very concerned [with results], but we are now trying to improve all aspects,” added Rao.
“Plans are looking very positive and I am sure in the future we will do something better.”
