He has chopped and changed his squad so much it would be easy to forgive him if he has forgotten some of those players.

The ‘Shankill Skinhead’ was a firm fan favourite at Old Trafford before Fergie even turned up. Turned in several match winning displays against Liverpool and Everton but fell foul to Sir Alex’s zero tolerance of alcohol.
In 11 years at Old Trafford, he made a total of 468 appearances and scored 126 goals in all competitions. He scored important goals in the Super Cup and League Cup finals. Helped kick-start the Fergie era.
‘Sparky’ had two spells at United but his second will be remembered best. His goals fired Fergie’s men to win many trophies. He won eight winners medals in his Old Trafford career kick-starting the Fergie reign.
The legend who single-handedly turned United into a force. The Frenchman signed from Leeds and United won the League. He got banned for his kung-fu kick, United lost the League. He returned, United won. Enough said.
Signed for a then record £14million he blossomed into a great striker for United. His goals to chances ratio might not be the greatest but he did score a lot og golas. Helped Fergie win the Champions League.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
The ‘baby-faced assassin’ became the supersub Fergie could not do without. The last-minute Champions League winner against Bayern Munich that secured the treble will send Ole down in United folklore.
In his first season Yorke was a key player in guiding his club to a unique treble of the Premier League title, FA Cup and UEFA Champions League, and forming a legendary partnership with Andy Cole.
Ruud Van Nistlerooy
He won the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup and FA Community Shield. Van Nistelrooy hit 150 goals in just 219 games for United, as well as being their all-time European record goalscorer.
Was the most expensive teenager but now developed into United’s talisman. Has won three league titles, two league cups and a Champions League and is only 25. Best English player of his generation.
He may have joined the other half of manchester but Tevez was loved at Old Trafford. He scored important goals and never stopped running for the team. Fergie would have kept him but he was too expensive.
