Schalke will reportedly offer Tottenham the opportunity to sign Klaas Jan Huntelaar in the summer.
According to talkSPORT, speculation in the Dutch media is suggesting that Huntelaar’s German employers are prepared to cut their losses on the striker at the end of the season after failing to make an impression in the Bundesliga.
The Holland international has scored just seven times in 22 appearances in the league this season had has now been tipped to make a transfer window move to White Hart Lane.
Schalke will reportedly make the 27-year-old available to Spurs for around €18.5 million and the north London club are alleged to be interested in signing the ex-AC Milan forward.

Harry Redknapp has tried in the past to land Dutch international Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and previously perhaps the former AC Milan and Real Madrid man was not tempted by a move to the North London side but having seen how well they have taken to Champions League football perhaps a move this summer is a distinct possibility?
The Tottenham boss is seemingly not happy with the quartet of Robbie Keane, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch, all of whom have in some way or another failed to impress this term, leaving the White Hart Lane side to count on goals from the midfield from the likes of Rafael Van der Vaart and Gareth Bale to help them to victory.
Huntelaar’s career stagnated somewhat since his move from Ajax to the Bernabeu but he has done well alongside Raul at Schalke however last season’s Bundesliga runners-up have fallen down the table dramatically and are currently ten points off even a Europa League finish so an exit is very likely.
