Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho wants to steer clear of his former clubs Chelsea and Inter Milan in Friday’s draw for Champions League quarter-finals.
Madrid are in the last eight for the first time in seven years as goals from Marcel, Karim Benzema and Angel Di Maria beat French side Lyon 3-0 at the Bernabeu, 4-1 on aggregate.
But Mourinho is wary of facing his old clubs despite being pleased with his side’s performance over the Ligue 1 team.
“Any draw will be a serious challenge, but I do not want to play Inter or Chelsea, but we might have to,” he said.
“We are Real Madrid,
it is normal for us to qualify for the quarters.
“This was a victory against a very good team, I think we deserved it after a complete performance, we played to win and deserved to.”
