Gareth Bale has of course has a stunning season and there is no doubt that a number of Europe’s elite will want to get hold of the left back this summer and the question is would such a move become a possibility if Tottenham failed to secure another top four finish? Will the taste of Champions League football make the Welsh winger hunger for more?
Maxwell is of couse a full back whereas Gareth Bale is now an out and out winger so not sure where one’s sale would necessarily indicate a move for the 21 year old but there is no denying that Pep Guadiola would very much like to sign the £40m rated Spurs hero.
Harry Redknapp has seen a number of his squad really up their game this season and the likes of Luka Modric, Rafael Van der Vaart and Sandro are all apparently strongly linked with moves away from the North London club but it will prove very hard to wrestle any stars from the Tottenham boss’s grip as he looks to continue his excellent spell at the White Hart Lane helm.
