Emirates left back on his way out?
Arsenal will call Gael Clichy in for make-or-break contract talks next month.
Sportsmail revealed earlier this month that the France defender is stalling on a new Gunners deal.
The north London club fear Clichy, 25, will not extend his stay at the Emirates and have already pinpointed Celtic left-back Emilio Izaguirre as a potential replacement.
Clichy is keen to wait until the summer before recommencing talks over fresh terms but the north London club want his future settled before then.
The defender’s deal expires at the end of next season when he could leave the club for nothing.

Has the Daily Mail forgotten about Kieran Gibbs? Surely not? We are talking about a ready made replacement for Gael Clichy who is an regular part of the England international set-up so surely if Arsene Wenger decides not to give in to the Frenchman’s contact demands he will simply use Gibbs and not opt to move for a new addition.
Enter into the mix the fact there is also Armand Traore to contend with, who is currently out on loan to Juventus and a move for Emilio Izaguirre seems even less necessary. That is not to say the £8m rated Honduras international has not been a big success in the SPL, it’s just hard to know just how the 24 year old would cope with a jump up to the higher echelons of the English top tier having already made huge strides to the Scottish Premier League after a career played solely in his homeland.
There are no shortage of interested parties wanting to snap up Clichy who may well be about to bring an end to his Arsenal career after eight years and over 250 appearances.
