Goodison Park club will fight off bids from White Hart Lane and Anfield.
Tottenham Hotspur will attempt to sign Everton left-back Leighton Baines this summer, starting a bidding war with Liverpool.
Both Harry Redknapp and Kenny Dalglish will make £12.5million offers for the England international after losing out on Marseille’s Taye Taiwo to AC Milan.
Baines, 26, signed a new contract last year keeping him at Everton until 2015, after joining four years ago for £6million.
He has become a key figure in the Goodison Park dressing room and manager David Moyes would be reluctant to sell his star player.
But Everton may not be able to afford to turn down the money and may decide to cash in now, rather than let the player’s value depreciate.
Reports from the player suggest he does not want to join Everton’s fierce rivals Liverpool, but Tottenham is a more interesting proposition.
