Emirates back up man wanted by White Hart Lane boss.
Emmanuel Eboue may follow William Gallas from Arsenal to arch-rivals Spurs.
Ivory Coast international Eboue, 27, is highly-rated by Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp, and the Spurs boss is considering a shock swoop as he plots to bring in a new right-back this summer.
Eboue has endured an uneasy relationship with Arsenal fans since arriving from Belgium club Beveren in 2005, but Redknapp likes him and wants more competition for the right-back role.

Emmanuel Eboue is a player who’s undoubted ability is somehow outshone by his amusing personality and his occasional theatrics, but make no mistake the Ivory Coast international does have a lot to offer and given that at Arsenal he is mainly used as a utility player who only gets a run of games when his team-mates are sidelined, a move to Tottenham may well appeal to the 27 year who probably feels that at this stage of his career he needs to not be sat on the bench waiting for his chance.
This source states Eboue has an ‘uneasy’ relationship with the Gunners support but that’s a little misleading, on the whole he is something of a cult hero and the spell of his Arsenal career that was heavily linked with the consistent booing of some of his own supporters was brief and the player improved as a result.
The former Beveren man has now amassed over 160 starts for the North London club but this term he has started just six Premier League matches and a move to White Hart Lane may well appeal to the right sided player who appears to have little hope in ousting Bacary Sagna or Samir Nasri on the right hand side of the Arsenal line-up.
Harry Redknapp has alternated this term between Alan Hutton and Vedran Corluka in the right back spot and seems to be open to replacing either or indeed adding another option to his Spurs ranks. Aaron Lennon is the first choice right winger and unlikely to be challenged by the potential arrival of Eboue who is reportedly valued at around £6m
