Anfield star remains positive about Europa League qualification over White Hart Lane rivals.
Liverpool striker Andy Carroll is confident his side will claim qualification into Europe this season ahead of Tottenham Hotspur.
The Reds will face Spurs’ fierce rivals and title challengers Arsenal on Sunday and up for grabs is a vital three points for both teams.
Liverpool are currently in sixth, eight points five points behind Spurs having played a game more.
But the Anfield club boosted their chances after a 3-0 demolition of Manchester City on Monday night.
Carroll bagged a brace in the win, his first goals for Liverpool since his £35million move from Newcastle United, and he now insists the Scousers can catch the North Londoners.
“Obviously it’s at the back of everybody’s minds,” Carroll told the Daily Post.
“Everyone wants to be in that fifth position and everyone knows that we are capable of doing it.
“We’ve just got to work hard and try to make sure we get three points every week and hopefully Tottenham will have a slip up.
