Eastlands star is apparently a very generous man.
GENEROUS soccer star Mario Balotelli gave £1,000 to a tramp outside a casino – after a whopping £25,000 win.
The Manchester City striker, 20, shared his windfall on a night out with Blackburn Rovers ace Chris Samba.
Balotelli – who earns £100,000 a week after signing from Inter Milan for £24million last year – is said to often give cash to homeless people he sees around Manchester. His latest act of kindness came outside the city’s 235 Casino last week.
A source said: “Mario is really generous. He always hands £20 notes to the Big Issue boys without even taking the magazine. There’s a guy he always sees around town with ginger dreadlocks and a beard. He carries his possessions in two carrier bags.
“He was outside the club in the early hours so Mario handed him a wad of notes after his big win. The tramp couldn’t believe his luck. It was enough to keep him going for months.” (The Sun)
You can always count on The Sun to be incredibly offensive. Calling a homeless person a tramp, how nice. Mario Balotelli may indeed be a bit nutty but this latest episode puts him much higher up in our estimation.

I like Balotelli, he’s just misunderstood, it angers me to see him wasted, he has so much talent that if he could just harness that tough upbringing and put it all onto the pitch like Paul McGrath did the he could be a world beater and Ballon d’or winner!
Lets just hope he stays off the booze tho!

shows he is a great guy, when have we heard fat Rooney give any money to anyone apart from that prostitute he was screwing, the only problem here is anyone living on the streets is bascially drug dependent so that guy will probably he himself harm what mario should do is invest in a charity like Zidane, Ronaldo, Drogba and David Villa do which will ensure the money is used wisely

Massive generalisation calling every homeless person a junkie.
anonymous - April 20th, 2011 at 4:05 pm
people who hate balotelli are are extremely sad funless individuals. get a life ffs, open a window, have a laugh once in a while.
man city fans i can understand coz they have to put up with his antics on the pitch, but everything else he does (dart throwing at kids aside) is pure pantomime!!
honestly they should just strap a camera to his head 24/7, let city keep paying him, and just see what happens!
BaloTelly, its an MTV moneymaker straight away

Desperate publicity stunt! ”
does balotelli strike you as a person who gives 2 hoots about “bad publicity”?
answer is definately not, so why would he do this for good publicity?
“Doesn’t make up for all the idiotic things he’s done in the past.”
I would like to know which of these idiotic things he has done have got you offended so personally. and which of these he was trying to make up for by giving a grand to a homeless guy
” and If I earnt that sort of money, i’d donate half my wages to charity.”

WTF? he didnt tell The Sun ! or announce it in an interview, or write it in a book…
how exactly did he let the public know about it?
anonymous - April 20th, 2011 at 5:22 pm
Funny story, totally agree its a publicity stunt. Does Balotelli strike me as a man who gives ‘two hoots’ about bad publicity? Maybe not, but I’m sure as hell that the Man City management and his agent do give ‘two hoots’. If it was just an act of kindness, how come its got into the media so quickly.
Donavan Ried - April 20th, 2011 at 5:31 pm
Balotelli just when up in esteem in my books. Let hope that this gesture of kindness and compassion bares fruit and the homeless man uses it to get him self back on his feet…

To all of you saying other footballers should give money to homeless people, what if they do but anonymously? Generosity should come from the heart, not a news report -.-

Balloteli only needs a manager that will understand him and manage to calm him down the only problem is that such a manager is hard to find
