Emirates Stadium boss keen on Bernabeu teenager.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is interested in Real Madrid youngster Enzo Zidane, son of former French international Zinedine, according to Spanish sources. The 16 year old midfielder has previously been linked with interest from Man United but may well be tempted by the chance to continue his footballing education at the Emirates Stadium where clearly young players are given every chance to develop.
The teenager is said to be a hot prospect and plays in a similar role to his father but is still reportedly undecided as to whether he will opt to represent Spain or France at international level. The youngster was on the verge of a loan move to Belgian side Standard Liege in January but the deal was shelved after interest from Man United was apparently registered.
Wenger is clearly an expert spotter of talent and is of course well versed in bringing in youngsters from La Liga clutches, not least when he persuaded Cesc Fabregas to leave Barcelona for Arsenal, a move that has clearly been a huge success.
Arsenal have apparently been monitoring Enzo’s progress and keeping an eye on how his career develops with a view to a possible move to bring the young midfielder to North London.
Two of Zinedine Zidane’s other children, Theo and Luca, are also on Real Madrid’s books.
