Kenny Dalglish and Damien Comolli draw up list of potential Anfield signings, here are some who may tickle their fancy.
Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish appears keen to invest some of the club’s new owner’s cash on additions to improve a squad that appears to have a few problems areas that need filling. The Anfield manager having been handed a three year deal can now go about assembling a side that he feels will challenge for a top four spot and with the help of director of football Damien Comolli, who has an expert view of possible signings from the continent, the Merseyside side will look to spend significant sums this summer.
High up on the list of priorities appears to be natural wide options despite the return to form of both Dirk Kuyt and Maxi in recent months. A number of wingers have been earmarked as possible signings to help provide ammunition for Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll.
A new left back seems a priority also as well a need to build for the future which will seemingly negate moves for any players in the autumn of their careers. The club may also look to bring in new centre back options with both Jamie Carragher and Sotirios Kyrgiakos both getting on a bit and Daniel Agger being injury prone.
