Emirates boss attempts double swoop on Stade Lille-Metropole.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is preparing a double swoop for Lille stars Eden Hazard and Gervinho.
The Daily Mirror reports the Gunners boss has shaken off interest from Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur to sign the duo.
Wenger has already stated he will be busy this summer and has already signed Barcelona youngsters Jon Toral and Hector Bellerin, and a deal is close for Charlton defender Carl Jenkinson.
But the Emirates faithful are desperate for star signings and the Lille pair could be just what they are looking for.
Hazard, 20, has attracted interest from all over Europe but wants a move to Arsenal to work under Wenger and play with international team-mate Thomas Vermaelen.
The Gunners are also interested in Ivory Coast striker Gervinho but he will not make a decision on his future until later this summer.
“After the last match and a match with Ivory Coast, I will go for holidays,” Gervinho said. “I have already made my choice. Everyone will know it later. It is a personal choice.
“The coach wants me to stay. The club will play in the Champions League and he wants to play it with me. I want to play it too, if I have such an opportunity.
“But I can play it at Lille or somewhere else, that is no problem.
“We have had several talks and we know what we told ourselves. There are still a few days to talk before holidays.”
