Bernabeu boss dismisses suggestions of strikers leaving to the Emirates.
Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho has rejected speculation linking strikers Karim Benzema and Gonzalo Higuain with summer moves.
The pair have been touted with possible transfers to Arsenal as rumors persist of a move for Atletico Madrid starlet Sergio Aguero.
While admitting he likes the Argentine, Mourinho has backed his current strikers and has predicted a bright future for his young team.
The ‘Special One’ also revealed his admiration for Benfica defender Fabio Coentrao, who has been linked with a £26million move to the Bernabeu, and new signing Nuri Sahin from Borussia Dortmund.
“We continue to count on Benzema and Higuain because they are not for sale,” Mourinho said. “Aguero is a fantastic player, but he is an Atletico player.”
“Coentrao is a great player. I like him for his versatility, playing in all positions. Players like him are always welcome at a club as demanding as Madrid. “
“Sahin was the best player in the Bundesliga, a tournament that is growing. He is another kid with a great future, as are Özil, Marcelo, Di Maria, Benzema.
“We are a young team and this Real Madrid, within three or four years may mark a new era in European football.”
