Anfield reject to secure move to White Hart Lane.
Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole is set to be reunited with Harry Redknapp after securing a £3million move back to London with Tottenham Hotspur.
The 29-year-old only joined the Reds last summer after leaving Chelsea on a free but has endured a torrid first season on Merseyside.
The England international chose a move to Liverpool over Spurs 12 months ago but because of injury and suspension never cemented his place in the starting XI and scored only two goals in 20 appearances.
The Metro reports Tottenham are now prepared to end his Anfield nightmare with the two clubs have apparently negotiated a fee and the transfer will go ahead if Cole passes a stringent medical and agree personal terms.
Cole will have to take a pay cut on the £90,000-a-week wages but it could be worth it if he resurrects his career.
The move will reunite the playmaker with Redknapp, who handed him his Premier League debut when the pair were at West Ham United.
Cole’s arrival at White Hart Lane may also signal that Tottenham are ready to cash in on £20million-rated playmaker Luka Modric, who is a target for Manchester United.
