Old Trafford hero reveals picture of surgery.
Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney is ‘delighted’ with his new hair transplant after years of battling premature baldness.
The 25-year-old shared the news on Twiiter after undergoing the surgery earlier this week after becoming paranoid following Cristiano Ronaldo taunts likening him to Sir Bobby Charlton.
The procedure cost the England international £13,500 and took place in Harley Street, London and is very proud of the results, even posting a picture after the operation.
“Just to confirm to all my followers I have had a hair transplant,” Rooney tweeted. “I was going bald at 25 why not. I’m delighted with the result.”
“It’s still a bit bruised and swollen when it dies down u will be first to see it.
“Anyone recommend any good hair gel. Haha.”
Team-mates have supported his decision who has struggled with changing room jokes about his receding hairline.
“You’ll be doing head&shoulders adverts soon,” Rio Ferdinand tweeted.
