Everton manager David Moyes is hoping to land Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck on-loan next season according to Footybunker.com.

The 20-year-old impressed both Moyes and Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson with his performances for Sunderland.

He performed so well he earned his first full England cap after scoring six goals in 21 starts in the Premier League.

Welbeck signed for Manchester United in 2008 on a professional contract but has not managed to forge his way into the the Old Trafford staring eleven.

Ferguson does not want to sell Welbeck but believes another year spent on-loan will bolster his experience and will welcome him back into the Old Trafford squad in 12 months.

By then Dimitar Berbatov will most likely be moved on and Michael Owen’s one-year deal will have expired.

Everton has struggled with their attacking options this season and with Yakubu heading for the exit door, they are looking light on strikers.

But Moyes will no doubt face competition from Sunderland manager Steve Bruce who would love to take Welbeck on a permanent deal let alone on-loan.
