Stadium of Light hero knows nothing of White Hart Lane rumours.
Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan has dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Tottenham Hotspur but is flattered by the interest.
The 25-year-old has been mooted as a possible make-weight in a move that will see Peter Crouch move in the opposite direction.
Gyan insists no one has contacted him about the move but admits moving to Spurs is an attractive proposition.
“I am not aware of any contact from Spurs, I have a contract with Sunderland. At the moment it is rumours,” he told Sky Sports.
“I was in London three weeks ago for an award in London with my good friend John Pantsil, not for a meeting with Spurs.
“Spurs are a fantastic club and any player would be flattered by their interest, so I am, but there is nothing I can do if Sunderland want to keep me.”
But Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has also denied the move is on claiming he wants to keep his England striker at White Hart Lane.
“Crouchie is not one we want to sell if we can help it. Henderson has gone to Liverpool, so Sunderland have some money to spend,” he told The Sun.
“Perhaps Niall Quinn or Steve Bruce will be on the phone trying to buy one or two of ours.”
