Eastlands star wants Allianz Arena transfer.
Manchester City defender Jerome Boateng is confident a deal can still be arranged that will see him move to Bayern Munich.
The 22-year-old only joined the Blues last summer in a £10.4million transfer from Hamburg, and still has four-years on his current contract.
But the Germany international was unable to establish himself in the staring XI due to constant injury problems.
He is currently undergoing rehabilitation after knee surgery in America.
Bayern have already agreed a four-year contract with Boateng but have only offered half of City’s £20million valuation of the player.
Boateng believes the deal will be done and will remain calm as negotiations continue.
“I believe [a deal can be done],” he told Bild. “I have to show patience. There is nothing more to say.
“I am going to concentrate on training and hope that an agreement can be reached quickly.”
“The rehab is going really well. I’m not in any pain. I’m working on my fitness, strength and pace.”
City are already looking at replacements and are contemplating a £20million move for Lyon full-back Aly Cissokho.
