White Hart Lane boss offers four players for Reebok Stadium centre back.
Tottenham have made another attempt to prevent Gary Cahill from joining Arsenal by offering a staggering four players in a swap deal.
As Paris St Germain also close on a £14million deal for midfielder Wilson Palacios, Tottenham are working hard on cutting down their oversized squad to clear the way for new signings.
Bolton Wanderers’ boss Owen Coyle has been contacted by the north London club over a complicated exchange that could see several of Harry Redknapp’s squad leave with the players understood to be Sebastien Bassong, Robbie Keane, Jermaine Jenas and Alan Hutton.

This is surely an offer that Bolton boss Owen Coyle would be tempted by. The Reebok Stadium manager has already conceded that he will struggle to keep England international Gary Cahill at Bolton and an offer that would see four good players sent his way would help give his side a great deal more strength in depth.
Cahill has been a consistent force at Bolton for a couple of seasons now and has caught the eye of many Premier League boss’s with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool being linked with a move for the 25 year old Sheffield born centre back.
Harry Redknapp has had some horrific problems in the central defensive area at Tottenham with the likes of Ledley King, Michael Dawson, William Gallas and Jonathan Woodgate all at some stage suffering long term injuries over the past few seasons.
Bolton boss Coyle has done very well in charge of the Trotters and last season finished just three points from 8th and will be looking to push on and may feel that a deal to bring in the White Hart Lane quartet would benefit the club in the long run.
Robbie Keane could help provide the goals the club struggles to find, especially now that Johan Elmander has left the club and Daniel Sturridge has returned to Chelsea following his successful loan spell. A lot could of course depend on whether the four players are happy to make such a move, especially as Jenas and Bassong apparently have offers from the continent to consider.
