Anfield hero wants Nou Camp switch.
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has revealed he has always dreamed of playing for Barcelona.
The 24-year-old only joined the Reds last January in a £22million move from Ajax and set the Premier League alight.
The Uruguay international’s four goals and three assists galvanised Liverpool’s season and nearly took his team into Europe after flirting with relegation at the beginning of the campaign.
But Suarez, who is preparing for his country’s Copa America, will be worrying the Anfield faithful with his comments especially as his agent is Pere Guardiola, brother of Pep, the Barcelona manager.
“Even before I knew Pere Guardiola, my current agent, I had this desire, this dream of a chance to play for that team,” Suarez told Don Balon magazine.
“Obviously he is a person related to Barcelona by his brother, but work situations are totally different relationships.
“If Guardiola wants me, I want to play for Barcelona – no matter who represents me.”
Suarez still has five-years remaining on his contract and it does not look like Barcelona will move for him quite yet as they are focusing their transfers on Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez and Arsenal’s Cesc Fabregas.
