Emirates footballer is on his way to Eastlands.
Arsenal defender Gael Clichy is undergoing a medical ahead of his £7million move to Manchester City.
The 25-year-old, who made over 250 appearances for the Gunners in eight years, appears to have chosen the Blues over a number of other clubs.
Liverpool and Roma were leading the chase for the French international’s signature but City’s riches have persuaded him.
Clichy is likely to sign a five-year contract that will more than triple his current wages to £120,000-a-week.
He is now due in the North West ahead of a medical with City ahead of signing on the dotted line, according to Sky Sports.
Meanwhile Gunners captain Cesc Fabregas will report to pre-season tomorrow and will be put through rigorous fitness drills by manager Arsene Wenger before moving to Barcelona in a £35million transfer.
But team-mate Samir Nasri’s future is less clear with reports over the weekend suggesting he could see out the final year of his contract before leaving on a Bosman next summer.
Wenger still has high hopes of persuading the France international of remaining in north London despite interest from Manchester United and Manchester City.
