Eastlands club still hopeful of signing Estadio Vicente Calderón star.
Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero has still not decided on his future despite an offer from Juventus.
The 23-year-old wants a move to a top club in the Champions League but his preferred move to Real Madrid looks unlikely as Atletico will not sell to their neighbours.
This has opened the door for Manchester City, who are in the market for a new goal machine, as captain Carlos Tevez wants to leave to be closer to his family.
Aguero has a release clause in his contract of £40million which will not put off either City or Juventus, who say they happy to spend the majority of their budget on one player.
The Argentina international will decide his next move after the Copa America following his declaration that he will leave Atletico this summer.
“I am aware of Juve’s offer but only when the Copa America is over, will my future destination be known,” Aguero told reporters.
“There are negotiations going on with the Italian club but I don’t know how many millions they have offered for my services.
“These are things that only my agents know.
“My only focus right now is on the Copa America.
“I want to win on Wednesday (against Colombia) and the issue of my transfer is in the hands of my agents.”
