Roberto Mancini keen to bring Brazilian star to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City are hoping to steal a march on AC Milan as they look to beat the San Siro club to land Real Madrid playmaker Kaka. Roberto Mancini is looking to bring in a ‘marquee’ signing this summer and has set his sights on the 29 year old who may well be tempted by a move away from the Bernabeu to secure regular first team football.

Kaka struggled last season missing the first half of the season out with a knee injury and then found that his place in the starting eleven had been taken by Mesut Ozil. The Brazilian international did do well when he was offered a chance to impress, netting seven goals in 14 La Liga matches.

The Real Madrid star has stated his intention to fight for his place in Mourinho’s plans but Man City are willing to offer as much as £35m for the talented midfielder and it may be an offer the Spanish giants will accept.

Indeed Jose Mourinho’s interest in Carlos Tevez and his apparent need to boost his attacking options could lead to a swap agreement between the two clubs.

The Argentine striker has stated his intention to leave Man City and Roberto Mancini is already facing up to the fact that he will lose his top marksman but could use Real Madrid’s interest in the former Man United and West Ham attacker to help complete a deal to sign Kaka.

AC Milan are also said to be keen on bringing Kaka back to the San Siro and Massimiliano Allegri is hoping to persuade the former Rossoneri star to return to the Serie A giants.

Kaka spent six seasons at AC Milan, scoring 94 goals in 266 appearances and helping the Italian side to a Champions League and domestic title triumphs.
