White Hart Lane boss wants Etihad Stadium reject.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp wants to sign Manchester City striker Emmanuel Adebayor on a season-long loan.
The 27-year-old is deemed surplus to requirements at the Etihad Stadium and spent the second-half of last year on-loan with Real Madrid.
The former Togo international would love a return to the Bernabeu but Los Blancos are less keen.
Redknapp is desperate to add more firepower to his squad and sees Adebayor as the perfect candidate.
But Spurs fans are unlikely to be happy with any deal for the hit-man. Not only did he play for arch-rivals Arsenal, Adebayor accused them of racial taunts during a Champions League tie last April.
“He is a name that was mentioned and I spoke to the chairman about the player, about the possibility of loaning him, but whether they [City] would loan him I don’t know,” Redknapp said, according to ESPN.
“If they would loan him he would be of interest. He is a quality player. We will wait and see.”
