Riverside hero will roll back the years.
Brazilian star Juninho will make one final appearance for Middlesbrough this Friday during the club’s pre-season fixture against PSV Eindhoven.
The 38-year-old is a hero for the Riverside faithful having had three spells at the club and helped lift the Carling Cup in 2004.
He left the club later that season and played for them over 130 times.
The former Brazil international became a instant fan favourite with his dribbling skills and infectious smile.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for our fans to pay tribute to one of the most famous players in our history,” manager Tony Mowbray said.
“They never had the chance to give Juninho a proper send-off when he left for the last time, and I know much how they will welcome the chance to show their appreciation for everything he did for the club.
“The PSV game is an important friendly for us and one we are taking very seriously, and Juninho will play at some stage.”
