Stamford Bridge target is now available ‘on the cheap’.
Real Madrid are offering Kaka to Chelsea after Jose Mourinho decided he is ready to dump him.
The Brazilian, 29, appears to be finished at Real after unimpressive displays during pre-season.
He will meet Mourinho and club president Florentino Perez this week, and the People says he will be made available for around £25million.
Whilst £25m may seem a high price to pay for a 29 year old, one can only imagine the promotional financial possibilities that comes from the capture of such a superstar signing as Kaka. In footballing terms the Real Madrid playmaker still has a lot to offer and despite missing a huge chunk of last season the former AC Milan man would still add creativity to Chelsea’s midfield.
Andre Villas-Boas has been linked with moves for a number of attacking midfielders, including the likes of Luka Modric, Samir Nasri and Javier Pastore and whilst Kaka is older than these targets he is also a player with proven experience at the highest level.
Last term when the Brazilian did return from being out injured, he did so with a bang netting seven goals in 14 La Liga fixtures. Jose Mourinho though appears ready to offload Kaka after bringing in Nuri Sahin from Borussia Dortmund. The Bernabeu boss already has a ready-made replacement for Brasilia born star in the shape of Mesut Ozil.
Chelsea have a number of midfield options but the lions share of those available are defensively orientated, Ramires, Michael Essien and John Obi Mikel, and other than Frank Lampard and youngster Josh McEachran there are perhaps a lack of creative players in this position.
