San Siro wants Anfield hero.
Inter Milan have made a shock bid for Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt, according to his agent Rob Jansen.
The 31-year-old has been a stalwart on the right flank for the Reds in recent years and started Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Arsenal at the Emirates last Saturday.
But the Holland international’s place has come under pressure after manager Kenny Dalglish’s summer spending spree.
Charlie Adam, Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing have all come in and put pressure on Kuyt and due to his age, Dalglish may be tempted to sell.
Inter are looking for striking reinforcements with Samuel Eto’o poised to join Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala and have had Kuyt on their radar for some time.
The Serie A giants tried to bring him to the San Siro last summer while Rafa Benitez was in charge but failed to convince the Liverpool board to sell.
But 12 months on and the situation has changed and Jansen admits his player has to think about the offer.
“Inter Milan have made an attractive offer for Dirk and he has to think about it,” Jansen told RTV West. “However, the two clubs have yet to agree a deal.”
