Anfield, Stadium of Light and Emirates have all been busy this summer. We look at some of the worst bit of business by clubs so far. Obviously they could prove us all wrong but it is just a bit of fun.
Samir Nasri – Arsenal to Manchester City – £24m
Not a bad deal for City but it was for Arsenal. It is not even about the money because that is good for a player with only 12 months remaining on his contract.
It is the timing of the deal that has made this disastrous for the Gunners as it happened only six days before the transfer window closes.
It leaves little time to search for a replacement, especially one as good as Nasri, and then more time to integrate that player into the team and get used to the Premier League.
