Ligue 1 side wants Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge stars.
Big spending Ligue 1 side PSG are reportedly eyeing up late moves to improve their strike-force with bids for Man United’s Dimitar Berbatov and Chelsea star Nicolas Anelka.
The Parc des Princes side are now being bankrolled by the Qatari Investment Authority and have former Inter Milan boss Leonardo as their director of football and the Brazilian has earmarked moves to sign the experienced Premier League pair as he looks to secure the French capital club’s first domestic title in almost two decades.
Sir Alex Ferguson wants to keep Berbatov at Old Trafford but the Bulgarian must be questioning his future at the club having seen his first team chances further hampered by the progress shown by youngster Danny Welbeck. The former Tottenham man already finds himself behind Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez in the pecking order and the form shown by the England Under 21 international may be the final nail his Man United career coffin.
Though the 30 year old finished top scorer last term he still seems unable to convince Ferguson to give him a first team start and thus far this season he has managed just 25 minutes of Premier League football.
Chelsea attacker Nicolas Anelka finds himself in a similar position at Stamford Bridge. The experienced French international has seen Juan Mata and Romelu Lukaku arrive this month and was already battling Fernando Torres and Didier Drogba for first team action.
The form shown by Daniel Sturridge in pre-season may also see the the 31 year old out of the first team picture all together.
Anelka is a former PSG youth team graduate who spent two years back at the club between 2000 and 2002 and may be keen on a return to France and the allure of regular first team football may be too tempting to turn down, especially as the cash rich club could well offer a big pay rise.
