Sandro set for long term Spurs future.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Sandro has signed a new contract to stay at White Hart Lane for the next five years.
The Brazil international had a shaky start at Spurs upon joining in September 2010, but soon proved himself with some commanding performances in the middle of the park.
The pinnacle of his short career so far were his displays against AC Milan in the UEFA Champions League – against seasoned veterans such as Andrea Pirlo and Rino Gattuso.
“I’m convinced we’ll have a good season at Tottenham,” said Sandro.
“It’s a great club, with great players. I believe we can finish in the top three or four this term.”
