Crystal Palace teenager attracting attention from Premier League elite.
Liverpool FC will continue to monitor 18 year old Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha this season and will decide next summer whether or not to consider a bid.
The youngster has been one player in London that numerous clubs have shown interest in but with no serious bids forthcoming thus far. It is however believed that the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal will monitor Zaha throughout the 2011-2012 season to judge his development and make a choice in June next year.
Liverpool and Arsenal continue to monitor the country’s young talent as they attempt to prolong their legacy at the top of the game.
18 year-old forward Wilfried Zaha has attracted plenty of attention in the last year, and is already flying this season.
In six official appearances this season the striker – who can also play behind a target man – has managed two goals and a pair of assists.
It is that creativity which has drawn clubs to Zaha, as his eye for the game is an asset not often seen in one so young.
Eagles manager Dougie Freedman is reluctant to lose the 2011 Crystal Palace young player of the year though.
“It’s not for me to say `come and get him’ because people will come and get him regardless,” said Freedman.
“It is a matter of holding on to them for long enough to enjoy it and when I hopefully have the say as to when they are good enough to represent another club then they will.
“My plan is to hold on to them long enough to enjoy them.”
