Marvin Martin could make Emirates Stadium move at season’s end.
As revealed by CaughtOffside yesterday, although France international playmaker Marvin Martin signed a new contract at Sochaux yesterday, he is set to depart the club.
“We had a good talk and we found an agreement,” said Martin in an interview with L’Equipe today.
“The officials made a promise.
“Indeed, there is an agreement to let me leave.
“I will remain at Sochaux until the end to the season.”
Arsenal have been the strongest linked team recently, with Arsene Wenger only bringing Chelsea star Yossi Benayoun on loan until the end of the current campaign.
That would then free up a place in the squad for the 23 year-old Martin.
The tricky midfielder enjoyed one of the best international debuts in recent history against Ukraine in June, coming on as a substitute with 15 minutes of the match left.
By the time the final whistle sounded, Martin had scored twice and provided one assist.
