San Siro giants want White Hart Lane star.
AC Milan will make a £15million offer to Tottenham Hotspur this January for midfielder Rafael van der Vaart.
The 28-year-old has re-launched his career at White Hart Lane since arriving 12 months ago from Real Madrid for £8million.
But the Holland international’s role in the team has come under question of late and the Serie A champions hope to take advantage, according to Talksport.
Manager Harry Redknapp recently left the playmaker out of his Europa League squad, much to the disgust of the player, due to worries over his fitness.
Van der Vaart’s position in the team is also threatened, with Redknapp keen on reverting to the 4-4-2 formation that took Spurs into the Champions League two season ago.
The Dutchman last year was used behind the frontman and found himself on the bench for the 4-0 victory over Liverpool at the weekend.
The Italian side are aware he may be open to a move if his first-team place cannot be assured.
A £15million offer could be too good for Tottenham to turn down for a player of his age and injury concerns, and it represents a healthy profit on what they paid for him a year ago.
