Fabio Capello names squad for final Euro 2012 qualifier.
Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has been left out of England’s squad for the Euro 2012 qualifier in Montenegro on Friday.
Liverpool’s Andy Carroll, Fulham’s Bobby Zamora and Manchester United’s Danny Welbeck are among the forwards, with no place for Jermain Defoe.
Fit-again Steven Gerrard is not risked after a recent groin problem.
England need only a point from Friday’s match to qualify for the finals in Poland and Ukraine next summer.

England are practically assured of a spot in the Euro 2012 finals draw and even if they were to lose to Montenegro it would still take a miracle for Branko Brnovi?’s side clinch top spot but they will be looking for a win to help keep the Swiss from sneaking into second spot.
Impressive recent form from Fulham striker Bobby Zamora and Tottenham full back Kyle Walker helped the London pair get into the England squad but Rio Ferdinand misses out as does Steven Gerrard, who clearly hasn’t had enough playing time since his return from injury to earn a call up.
Of the 24 players, nine come from either Man City or Man United which comes as a reward for both side’s near faultless starts to the Premier League season.
