Would you rather the club you support won a major title or that your country?
As we enter an international break it seems the opportune time to begin this debate. We hear constantly about the challenges faced by club and international team boss’s who struggle to cope with the loss of key players and indeed it seems that retirement from the international sphere has increased a great deal over the past couple of years so we thought we’d look for input on the matter from you, the supporters.
Many deride players for not being ‘up for it’ or displaying a lack of patriotism when pulling on the national team shirt but in reality as football fans we have probably as a whole become more and more closely aligned to the club’s we support and therefore can we really blame players for having similar split loyalties?
We thought the best way to test where your loyalty lies in terms of the club vs country row we would ask you which of the two successes you would personally prefer to experience.
Title triumph/promotion (depending on which league you club finds itself in)
World Cup or European Championship success for the nation you follow.
To make things easier simply cut and paste either of the responses below to display your preference.
