Emirates flop to be sold in January.
Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh is to be sold to Paris St Germain this January and are preparing a bid for Padova’s Ousmane Drame.
Chamakh, 27, moved to the Emirates only a year ago but, despite a promising start, has failed to convince manager Arsene Wenger that he can hack it in the Premier League.
PSG are coached by Antoine Kombouare, who is a long-term admirer of the Morocco international and is keen to bring him to the Parc des Princes, according to Talksport.
The Ligue 1 club’s sporting director Leonardo has reacted to Chamakh’s lack of first team starts at Arsenal by already sounding out a move for the player.
Arsenal will listen to offers for the player they brought in for free for Bordeaux as they look to re-shape their attack and get strong back-up for Robin van Persie.
The Gunners are apparently interested in Drame from Serie B side Padova, according to his agent George Atangana.
Wenger is battling with a string of clubs for the Frenchman’s signature but may have to wait until the summer to get his man.
“Arsenal are interested in him, I’m working on it directly with them,” Atangana told mediagol.it.
“I have talked with (Arsene) Wegner. In Italy there are Palermo and especially Fiorentina interested in him.
“Now the important thing is that Ousmane will end the season in Padova, then we’ll see.
“I can say that almost (all) the medium-high clubs in Italy and abroad like him.”
